February Updates

Reading:
Remember that the Spelling Grid and Homework Calendar must be signed each week in order to receive extra credit.  Homework can be turned in on Friday and I will staple the homework to the calendar to keep all assignments together!

Math:
We are working on understanding fractions, adding and subtracting fractions.  Weekly quizzes will be given to assess understanding.  Review sheets will ALWAYS go home the day before a quiz!!

Writing:
In preparation for the Spring Writing Assessment, we are working on responding to a variety of Writing Prompts.  We are learning how to defend our reasons and express ourselves using details, descriptive words and Voice.

PAWS Testing begins in March.  We will be discussing test taking strategies to use during the test in hopes that we are a little more at ease during testing.
